Our hearts are with you, we have wonderful memories of Cousins Jim and Gwen and the visits with them at the farm. My parents, John and Sara, always looked forward to getting together with them whenever they were in Michigan. I remember listening to the wonderful stories Cousin Jimmy and Dad would tell of their childhood. And the story of when Jimmy met Sara for the first time. He and Mom would always have a good laugh about it. We will miss them and take solace that they are together again with God.
Thoughts of Jim and Gwen bring memories of their love for each other and for you, their "kids." We enjoyed our times together--worship, studying the Bible together, praying...laughing and eating. We are grateful for the example and encouragement they were to us through those early years at the Chapel. We pray that you each are sensing Jesus' care during this time.
We have come to know Jim's son and family (Jim and Lyn and their wonderful children), who love Jim very much and are a testimony of a loving, caring family. They are a blessing to our church and our family. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family at this time.
To the Talbots's Family: I was so sorry to read of the passing of Jim. I worked with Jim at the City of St. Joseph. I enjoyed working with him. After his retirement, we would run into each other from time to time and it was always good to see him.
Jim and Gwen invited me into their farmhouse for dinner with a few others when I started attending The Chapel in 2000. They were kind and gracious hosts in their home and hearts as they helped shepherd a new attender and church participant with many introductions to other church members. God bless them both in their reunion, and your family as you rejoice in the lives they allowed others to share. Jim was one of the last church members I saw before my winter in California departure, and I will remember our last smiles and goodbye always; peace to all of your family members.
We extend our sympathy to each of you during this tender time. We worshipped at the Chapel together n served on committees thru the years n love your Dad remembering him as such a dear gracious positive man. We celebrate his " meeting" Jesus face to face and his reunion with your Mother. We miss her too as he kept her memory alive. Asking God to grant you His great grace for such a time as this. Sincerely Dave and Gloria Kett
