Oh my friend I hope you are having the time of your life in heaven.
I just learned about Jason's passing. I am so sorry to hear that such a free spirit has left us far too soon.
I became friends with Jason years ago via Active Rain. His humor was always a welcome treat. Rest easy sir and my prayers are with all of you 🙏
Such a wonderful soul. He always brought a smile, jabs and quick wit to our engagements. He will truly be missed. A friend @ the Hartford, Theresa
Dear Elaine, Mike, and Justin;
As you all know, we lived in our little bubble down on 4th Ave. as kids, and Jason,….was one of my very first friends. From Mike and Jason teaching me how to step into a swing at bat, catching pop flys correctly, whipping acorns at each other in your backyard and getting yelled at for it (lol), to him stealing my Halloween stash saying he needed to “check it for poison and bad dates on the candy” when he really wanted to steal most of my stash.
Jason will forever be a special part of my heart, and our family. I will treasure him…always.
We offer our sincere condolences and our heartfelt grievances. He will forever be “Sardine” to me….and my lil’ candy stealer.
This Halloween,…I will put away a little extra away for him. For safety.

What an amazing individual. He always was kind and looking to help. I feel blessed to have been able to work with him over the year. Jason, you really were an inspiration to us all.
Mike, Elaine & Justin
My heart ached today as I heard this news. Even though it has been so many years, it felt as though a piece of me left too. I have so many incredible memories of not just Jason but your entire family living “right next door”. All the fires, basketball games in the driveway, hide and go seek through the neighborhood, life advice and lots of laughs! I pray these shared memories bring a smile to your heart and give you comfort while you grieve. Sending much love your way,
Kari (Campbell) Kinney
Mike, Elaine & Justin,
I am so sorry to hear about Jason. Too many memories to put on paper. He always made living next to each other interesting and always kept us on our toes. Then when I entered the insurance industry he was the first to reach out and offer any help or advice. He truly had a heart of gold.
Much Love,
Derek
Elaine and Mike, To say I am so sorry for your loss is never enough. May God be with you thru this time of grief! 💔
I remember him at my bro (Eli Dortort) & his bro Justin playing baseball in elementary school together. Jason & Justin’s dad Mike was one of their coaches. My mom made Mike a shirt that said something like ‘play ball til the cows come home’ & it had a baseball diamond & cows on it.
