Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for giving me my beautiful mom my best friend. Over the past several years my mom and I have had so many wonderful times together. For my mom’s birthday each year we would plan a special trip, sometimes we would fly, or we would drive. We went to Miami Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Oak Island, Myrtle Beach, and several ski trips in Colorado. All these times together were so great! Our trip to Myrtle Beach stands out like it was yesterday. This was one of our last road trips together. We stayed in a very nice Condo right on the beach for three days. It was such a relaxing trip. We sat on the beach, shopped, and shopped and had lunch and dinner on the pier. Last year (2019), my mom spent her birthday in the rehabilitation center. Friends and family all joined and sang happy birthday. My mom’s very close friend Reva played the piano, and we all enjoyed my mom’s favorite cake “carrot cake”. I will cherish these memories for ever. I love you mom!
My beautiful grandma was our adventure buddy. We used to take grandma with us on all our weekend trips to the mountains when she was out here in Colorado and when we came out to Charlotte, we always planned a get away with grandma to Asheville. One of my most favorite memories was when my mom, Jeremiah and me took grandma to Keystone for her birthday. It was off season so we had the whole town to ourselves, so we took a walk around downtown and it started to rain. We ran through town in the rain trying to find somewhere that was open. We found the only shop in town that was open, which happened to be a candy shop!! She bought almond joys and we all ate almond joys in the rain😊 I can't wait for all the adventures to come when I see you again grandma. I love you so much.
