I met Kahyden our freshmen year of high school. Khayden, like many others, transferred to cannon when he was a freshmen. Freshmen year is an uncomfortable time for everyone, but that is especially true for transfers like Khayden who was going to a new school with people he barley knew.
Despite that, it felt like Khayden had always been our classmate and friend. I always felt at ease when I was around him. Simply seeing him in advisory or around Cannon made my day better.
At the same time, he had all the qualities anyone would want in a classmate and friend. He was the kind of guy you would be equally happy to see in your group project or at a party- and brought great vibes to both.
I certainly was not one of his closer friends, but I know he effected everyone that knew him the way he did me- for the better.
I’m devastated to hear of his passing. I’m sending my deepest sympathies to his family and other close ones. I hope he now feels the ease he brought into others.
