Mr. Bill one without question that everyone who knew him loved him. As his memory care director and though the time spent was not lengthy it definitely impacted our community. The many fond memories and times shared will be ones that we will cherish forevermore. His presence impacted us greatly and he will be truly missed and forever loved.
Many fond memories of Uncle Billy! - he taught me how to water ski in the rough seas at Edisto Beach , then got to practice on Lake Norman’s calmer waters and enjoying his lake house that he built! . Later years when he would bring my grandmother to Walterboro for Thanksgiving, after dinner , Billy would carefully bag up leftover turkey and put a pot on the stove and start the turkey soup! - And this is a practice I now do - thanks Chef Billy- my love and prayers to all of the family Love, Jess
Bill was happiest out of doors either hiking or biking or on a lake, stream or the ocean. When he could combine a boat or bicycle with food and friends and family, that suited him to a tee!
He loved music and supported the arts with time and money. And those close to him watched him satisfied any time he could use tools to chop or build or mend, especially if it would help someone who needed it. Most famous for his wry sense of humor, he often would stay silent to deliver the final funny comment. He stayed quiet often until he had something important or humorous to say.
I knew and loved Bill Mason and his family for over two decades. Bill lived well and kindly, accompanied by his beautiful children and grandchildren.
I will miss his unique presence in my world.
