Ben, Rhonda, Stewart and Extended Family,

We are deeply saddened by your loss. Dot (and Unc) over the years have been some of our very closest couple friends; and, of course, we have continued to love and enjoy Dot. She was a lovely, beautiful, and caring lady and we will miss her deeply.

'So very sorry we could not attend the funeral. We have been in Hilton Head since Feb.1; and will be here until next week.

She cherished your continued support and was always showing her photos of the grandchildren and great grandchildren. What a beautiful family you are!!

Dear Stewart, Aubrey, Hart, Ben and Rhonda, Natalie, David et al grandchildren
Dan and I were so saddened to hear of Aunt Dot's death. Though Dan has known her a long time, I have known her since 1969. What a wonderful, full of life and laughter lady your mother and grandmother was. I ALWAYS looked forward spending time at Lake Norman with Unk and Dot. Dot's sense of humor brought smiles as did Unk's. I am so grateful to have known her. Always easy to talk to her and share funny stories as well as significant events. We are planning to travel to NC to celebrate her life. Dot was a remarkable woman. I know you will miss her terribly. I didn't have the honor to meet Mrs. Griffith personally, only his son, Ben.

However, I was told how unique of a human being she was during her lifetime. I am sure that her spirit and her love will continue to reign in her family.

Dot was my friend for such a short time. We had wonderful visits beside the lake, sometimes watching our favorite heron at sunset and other times taking a walk. She always knew what to say and what to ask to foster enjoyable conversations.

My deepest condolences to the family. We can always look to the Bible for comfort during these difficult times. God promises us at Revelation 21:3-4 that he, “ will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away”. May God comfort your family in your time of sorrow, as we await God’s promise that soon we will be able to see them again once they are resurrected according to John 5:28-29. With deepest sympathy.

Ben and Family, I was saddened to hear of Dot's passing. I just talked and teased with her this week at the beauty shop and always enjoyed seeing her at church. I also remember her at Huntersville Elementary when my kids went there. She will be missed. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers

Though I had know and conversed briefly with Dot over a number of years it was not until the last several months when I had a wonderful chance to spend more time with her did I get to know her more as she really was. I was shocked at how quickly she stole my heart - so smart, funny and kind, a real delight and joy of a lady. I miss her already. I am glad that God seemed to allow her to live life fully up to the very end. I'm very blessed to have known her.
