Elaine Nealon

December 24, 1957 - February 8, 2022

Elaine Marie Nealon, 64, of Charlotte, NC passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Elaine was preceded in death by her father, William L. Nealon, Sr. She is survived by her son, Jason R. Moore of Deltona, FL; her devoted companion of 25 years, Stephen J. Skeates of Charlotte, NC; her mother, Margaret C. Nealon of Simpsonville, SC; siblings, William L. Nealon, Jr. of Coral Springs, FL, Donald G. Nealon (Elizabeth) of Kingsport, TN; Patricia A. O’Reilly of Simpsonville, SC; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Elaine had a kind and gentle spirit and loved her family deeply. Her life-long love of animals manifested itself in her mothering of a guinea pig, chinchilla, cats, and dogs, along with many other of God’s creatures. She was an avid gardener who especially enjoyed nurturing her annual flower garden and harvesting huge crops of fresh vegetables. Elaine could always be counted on to arrive with baked goodies for her friends and family on holidays and special occasions. As the daughter of an Air Force officer, Elaine spent her childhood in different locations. Ultimately, her family settled in Warner Robins, GA, and then Stone Mountain, GA for much of her secondary education prior to her attending the University of Georgia. The memorial Mass will be held to celebrate Elaine’s life at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Simpsonville, SC.
