I couldn’t ask for a more loving, thoughtful, and giving grandmother than Mom El. I’m so thankful I was able to spend time with her last week and tell her what she meant to me. There are too many memories to share but a few are her always having vegetable soup or pulled pork sandwiches anytime I was visiting, playing canasta until the morning hours, putting together model cars in her living room, going shopping at Kmark also known as Kmart, trips to Carowinds, her scratching my back when I was younger, and laughing at my brother the time she dyed his hair white with lemon juice just to name a few. To have her for 46 years was a great blessing to me. I know she’s in Heaven now with Daddy Boyd and I look forward to seeing them again someday. There is no doubt that Daddy Boyd has all the the red 3’s up his sleeve the next time we play Canasta. I love you Mom El! Josh

So my sister Brenda called me today to let me know that Eleanor Plummer passed away. I wanted to express my sympathies to the Plummer family. I have to say they were about as close to my second family as I could have ever had. I used to spend my afternoons playing football with Mike Plummer Jimmy Tevepaugh and Ricky in our front yard. the matches were always spirited and out of those matches came friendships that lasted for a long long time. But I have run into Eleanor Plummer a number of times.
since my childhood, particularly when my mother had entered her final days. And Eleanor was there when she passed away. And she was there at the funeral. The Plumber's and Eleanor will always have a special place in my heart. They will always be part of my memories I am very happy that my mother and Eleanor got to spend so many times together and became such good friends. Oakdale will miss her Pleasant Grove will miss her I know the Plummer family will miss her I wish you all my best

Eleanor was like a second grandma to me. She and her family have always been an extension of my family. She was a ray of sunshine to everyone she met. Her smile would light up any room she was in. Always happy. I love her and will miss her very much. Tell daddy Boyd I said hello and I’ll see you both again some day in heaven.

I was very fortunate that I got to know and dearly love Eleanor the last few years before my mother, Rachel Ervin, passed away, Eleanor would call to ask if mother wanted to go get something to eat - usually at Wendy's, Chick-fil-A, or McDonalds. I was often there and got to tag along with them and one or two more of their friends Eleanor would pick up along the way. Eleanor always had a beautiful smile and asked about how you and all your family were doing. I was amazed at all the greeting cards she sent to so many people over the years. Such fond memories of times we spent together ... hot dog Fridays at Pleasant Grove, sharing meals , playing card games, even going to her place at the beach and getting to know more of her relatives. Eleanor loved her family and appreciated everything her "boys" and others did for her. She did indeed touch many lives while on this earth. My condolences to the family in their loss and celebrate with them the llife she led!

My mom was the greatest she put everyone first rather you were family or not if you needed she gave.
I know she touched many lives in her time on earth.
She is in Heaven with daddy, her moma an daddy an all her brothers (probably still trying to break them brothers up from fighting each other)
I love you mom an miss you so much.
