Jewel Marrie Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jewel Marrie, 88, of Denver, North Carolina passed away peacefully at home on June 22, 2022. She was born October 14, 1933 to Francis and Viola Whitlow Sherrill of Denver, NC. Jewel attended high school in Cornelius, and retired from Arthur Andersen accounting firm in Charlotte, NC. Her pride and joy was her family who she loved very much and she cherished spending time with her soulmate, A W Auten, Jr. As well as her two best friends Yvonne Triplett Ventura and Judy Lowrance. She also loved traveling, reading, NYT crossword puzzles, and thrift shopping. Survivors are her daughter Cathye Auten of Huntersville, sister Anne Eudy, grandson Randy Montgomery, granddaughter Abigail Eaker, great-granddaughter Sabrina Montgomery, great-grandson Trey Montgomery and wife Tasha, great-great grandson Drezon McLaughlin, great great-granddaughters Skye and Kynnedi Montgomery, and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Jewel was predeceased by her daughter Robin Auten Eaker and husband Chuck, brothers Bob, Jim, and Don Sherrill and sister Sara Sherrill Morris. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. William Flannery and his staff for their excellent care and to the Novant Hospice staff.
