    Mrs. Jill Harkey Garrison of Charlotte, 89, passed away on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, of natural causes. Jill was a member of Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church and sang soprano in the choir for many years. She was an accomplished artist and former member of the Charlotte Art League. She was also an avid astrologer and gave great advice to family and friends over the years. Jill attended Women's College (UNCG) and UNCC pursuing a degree in Interior Design. She designed her home of 48 years. She later worked for and retired from NCNB (Bank of America) in Charlotte. Jill is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Jospehine Harkey and her husband William Garrison. She is survived by her children, Rebecca Quick (Larry) of Charlotte, Jeff Garrison (Donna) of Charlotte, Anne Marjo Wilson of Charlotte, and Selby Normile (Danny) of Garner, NC; grandchildren Nathan and William Quick of Charlotte, Nicholas and Christopher Normile of Garner, NC and Ansley Wilson of Richmond, VA; sister Beverly Kearns (Levon) of Helen, GA; and brothers Charles Harkey (Jan) of Lancaster, SC, Robert Harkey (Barbara) of Atlanta, GA, and Richard Harkey (Cheryl) of Lake Mary, FL. Jill was a great listener, had a special sense of humor, and a deep faith in the eternity of the soul. She will be deeply missed by her earthly family and friends. A memorial sevice will be planned at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church, 1600 W Mallard Creek Church Rd, Charlotte, NC 28262 , The Catawba Lands Conservatory, 4530 Park Rd. Suite 420, Charlotte NC 28209, and The Charlotte Art League, 4100A Raleigh St, Charlotte, NC 28213. James Funeral Home of Huntersville is serving the family.
