Joanne Morse Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Joanne Madonna Morse, 51, of Huntersville died August 1, 2022. She was born on November 2, 1970 in New Providence, New Jersey to Sherron Madonna and the late Steven Madonna, Sr. Joanne was a wonderful wife and mother. She and Craig Morse were married for twenty five years. They raised their son Cole in Huntersville, NC. Joanne graduated from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA and received her masters from St. Elizabeth University in Morristown, NJ and went on to teach for many years in the New Providence school district. She taught special education, first grade, and fourth grade. Joanne left teaching when her family moved from New Providence, NJ to Huntersville, NC and focused on health, nutrition, and wellness for the remainder of her career. Throughout Joanne’s life, she shared many insights and wrote about her own personal journey. Her words and perspective were inspirational to many. Joanne is survived by her beloved husband Craig; her son, Cole; mother Sherron Madonna, siblings, Alisa Madonna and Steven Madonna, Jr. (Rachel Rozycki). She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She is predeceased by her loving father Steven J. Madonna, Sr. A service will be held at Lake Forest Church, 8519 Gilead Rd, Huntersville, NC at 10:30AM on Friday, August 12, 2022. There will also be a service in New Jersey later this fall.
