We will greatly miss our dear friend who shared wonderful stories of his life over the years. John came up with answers to problems and created lasting memories for us. He had a wicked sense of humor and always left us smiling. My “Funnel Works” funnel and accompanying decree will forever be one of our dearest possessions.
A true gentleman and our privilege to have him as our friend.

had the pleasure of working with John while he was on the Board of Directors for the Centennial neighborhood. Our working relationship turned into a friendship, one that I will miss very much. He was the best story teller I have ever known and my time spent with him on his front porch chatting about the world will be in my heart forever. His family name includes Stanton, as does mine. My grand and great grandparents were from Manhattan. I always liked to think we were related somewhere far back in our family history and that is why we bonded so quickly. The world has lost a great man, and I a great friend. I'll miss you, John.
