December 11, 1981 - November 11, 2020
Today, November 11, 2020 our dear Jordan Marie Anthony passed away after a year long battle with ALL Leukemia. Jordan fought this battle with such grace and integrity with one purpose and one purpose only, to get back to Andy and her girls. I don’t think that we will ever know why the Lord works in the way he does, but we have to believe that Jordan now rests in his arms free from pain and disease. Her journey doesn’t end here. As friends and family, it’s our duty to carry on the work that Jordan started. May we all share in the responsibilities of helping Andy raise Jordan’s two beautiful girls in the manner that she would have wanted for them. Jordan had a gift; she had the gift of life. It was certainly not long enough for any of us, but it’s one that will remain with so many of us forever. She could always make you smile and loved when her family was around. The more the merrier should have been her mantra. She was a kind soul with an enormous heart. She loved her family with everything she had and it showed in everything she did. Growing up she always had to be the lead in any adventure that she, Jericho and Stan came up with. They took all those childhood adventures and carried them into adulthood relationships that turned into fun and loving friendships. She was also a passionate teacher who loved working with her students. It seemed like there wasn’t much she couldn’t handle and even excel at. As a loving wife to Andy Anthony, their two beautiful girls, Hunter and Reese, she worked endlessly to put her family’s health and happiness first. There is a quote that reminds me of the person that Jordan was, “taking care of other’s reveals the best part of us”. Women like Jordan are few and far between. You want to have a daughter, sister, or friend like Jordan. You could laugh with her, cry with her, fight with her, celebrate with her, it didn’t matter just being in her presence made us all better people. She always had your back, especially to her sister Jericho and brother Stan. I think if anyone messed with one of them, they would be in big trouble with her. If there was one word that comes to mind when we think of Jordan, it should be “family”. It was her world! She will be missed each and every day by her loving parents, Karen and Stan Januska, her sister, Jericho Flinn and husband John and their three daughters, Monroe, Presley, and Rowyn. And her brother Stan Januska and his wife Aimee. Andy’s father, Don Anthony and Trish. This extreme sadness is shared with Jordan and Andy’s extended family of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Second Cousins. May their friends and family celebrate that light of hope that Jordan was and never let that flame go out. She will live in all of us forever and may we each take something away from this that will make us all a little like Jordan, better than we were! Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in her name. The funeral mass will be held at 11 AM at St. Mark Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. James Funeral Home of Huntersville is serving the family.
