Judy McAulay

March 4, 1946 - May 7, 2022

Ms. Judy Camille McCorkle McAulay, 76 of Huntersville went to be with Jesus on Saturday May 7th 2022. Judy was married to John McAulay for 50 years until his death in 2014. Judy was the baby girl of 11 children born to George and Velma McCorkle. She is preceded in death by her husband John, her parents George and Velma, her brothers infant George Jr, Leonard, Lewis, Gene, Bobby Jo, and sisters Sue, Madeline and Carol. Judy is survived by her three children daughter ,Tina McGinnis and husband Richard McGinnis of Mooresville, son Johnny McAulay and wife Rebecca of Huntersville, and son Chad McAulay of Huntersville, 4 grandchildren: Taylor Estanislao and husband Jericho, Morgan McAulay, Madison McGinnis, and Seth McAulay ; two brothers Richard McCorkle and Doug McCorkle and wife Jackie, and many nieces and nephews. Judy survived a brain tumor that left her disabled 18 years ago. In spite of her poor health she always had a positive attitude, was a great friend to many, and chose to get through her challenges with laughter. She told jokes everywhere she went just to get people to laugh and smile even though many days for her were hard and challenging. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family as we are saddened to see her go but can rejoice with her knowing that she’s healed and with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven. Funeral services will be held at Hopewell Baptist Church in Davidson at 2:00 on Tuesday May 10th.
