    Michael Heath Lipford

    May 6, 1982 - January 19, 2021

CORNELIUS- Michael Heath Lipford was born to Pam and Robin Robinette and Michael and Phylis Lipford on May 6, 1982. Heath was the big brother to his precious “Birdie” Haleigh Lipford, special sister to Stacey Burge, and loving grandson to Buddy and Merle Robbins and Jack and Judy Lipford. Heath was the husband to Lyndsey Lipford, and from this union sons Luke (11) and Noah (5) were born. Heath attended schools in Mecklenburg County and graduated in 2000 from North Mecklenburg High School. After graduation he began a career in Fire Protection and worked for several large companies finally settling in to work for Shambaugh and Son L.P. Fire Protection. He was a proud member of Union 669. Heath was a hard worker; but on October 4, 2018 he was in a devastating motorcycle accident that altered the trajectory of his life. Miraculously, Heath survived his accident, and began rebuilding his life, but not without many physical and mental challenges. Though the last 24 months Heath underwent 23 major surgeries; one cannot comprehend his physical pain that he masked so well. His smile and his beautiful eyes showed others he was trying to be ok inside and out. The strength and courage Heath had is seen through his young sons. Remember Luke and Noah, you are “Daddy’s heros.” Heath’s struggles were apparent at times, but most times not. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and the word of their testimony, and they loved their lives unto death”. (Revelation 12:11). However, what was ALWAYS apparent was his love for God and family, and the scripture in Revelation describes how he chose to live life through his good and bad days. Heath is redeemed by Jesus' blood and he used his testimony every chance he got to defeat Satan and share with others. His testimony is raw and truth-filled, and he laid down all pride and delivered his testimony without pomp and circumstance each and every time. We all agree there was no one with a bigger heart for all people than our Heath. Through our tears and heartache, the family of Michael Heath Lipford wants you to remember him as someone with a huge heart that loved ALL people. He was a man that humbled himself to admit he was wrong and sometimes took the burden of being wrong when he wasn't. He was a good daddy and a daddy that took the time to really know his children, to talk to his children, to love his children. What a son was he that loved his mother so completely and loved and respected the best in his father, stepfather and stepmother. He loved Haleigh so, that when she walked into a room, he greeted her like it was his first time seeing her. He was a grandson that cooked breakfast every morning for his Nanny, and messed up his Poppie’s hair every chance he got; he loved and cherished his Poppie, and we rest in the knowledge that they are now together, both with renewed bodies free from the torment of pain. Heath would remember anything you told him about your life, and he always let you know he cared deeply and offered to pray with and for you. You may cry, for this seems a tragedy, but don't forget to smile through the tears; because Heath has gained victory over hell, death, and the grave; his deliverance has come. We ask that, in the days to come, you remember our family and especially his little precious sons, Luke and Noah. On Heath’s Facebook page he shared “Just when you think there is no hope, God reaches down and says, 'Take my hand and let me lead the way, be still and know that I am God, we can do this together.'” Memorials may be made to Rock Spring Campmeeting and Hebron Colony Ministries. A service of celebration for Heath will be Sunday at 3:00 pm at James Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. For everyone's health and safety, the family asks that all guests wear a mask.
