Terribly saddened to hear the news of Nick's passing I met Nick when I first moved down here in 9th grade at Ranson Middle School. Nick always had a way to make you laugh uncontrollably especially when you were having a day that you would rather forget. My deepest condolences go out to his parents, brother, and his daughter. I hope his family knows Nick is watching over them from above and his love that he held for all of you was full and sincere. To his beautiful daughter always know you father was a great man and loved you very much, when I saw him last that's all we both talked about was the love we have for our children was truly indescribable. I have no words that can express how deeply I feel about our loss of precious Nick. That smile has to go down in history as not only the prettiest; but most memorable and now everlasting smile ever. I know he loved his family and friends deeply from many of his thoughts words and deeds. Many people might not have known how spiritual Nick was, but I figured out early on in our very loving relationship that we shared the same beliefs, values and morals. He was always very attentive to my every need. I think sometimes he was over - protective of me. Now of course looking back I can see exactly why he held my hand and stayed close to me...protecting and shielding me...because that is what a real man who cares and loves you instinctively does. He was always aware of his surroundings and taught me so much about how the real world was...not my sheltered lifestyle was...so I have that now and always to protect myself with him of course now my angel. The most amazing thing about Nick was his ability to turn any frown upside down! He was so amazing in so many ways that I have to say he was that one of a kind guy that could make a whole gathering of people unite as one by just his way of permiating the crowd with his genius ways of the gift of gab!!! I can remember one time he just had to carry my unique New York license plates pocketbook around and unbeknownst to me he was raffling it off so to say. By the end of the night he had made some sort of connection with everyone in this small town pub. When we were leaving it was so hilarious because they saw the pocketbook going out the door and everyone rushed to tell us good bye. I was just so amazed at how funny and charming it was for him to be so magnanimous. I could tell so many stories of our travels and shenanigans. I truly miss him so very much and I know I will until I see his pearly whites at the pearly gates. To Nick my love as hard as this is I say goodbye. To family and friends please say a prayer that his little girl live a wonderful life and grow up to have all her daddy's great traits so that the ones that she chooses to be around in her life get a little slice of THE NICK SKINNER LOVE.
