Randall Rich Kincaid, Jr, of Davidson, NC, died on his 83rd birthday, Saturday, March 11, 2023, of complications from Parkinson’s disease. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Mac Kincaid, who was steadfast by his side through Read Obituary
Dr. Kincaid was a much admired and respected professor at Queens University. If not for his assignment about the Great Depression, I might not have had the joy of interviewing my Father for that paper. Thank you Dr. Kincaid and condolences to his family and friends.

Randy Kincaid and I were former faculty colleagues at Davidson College, and active Democrats in North Carolina--but, most of all, close friends from 1968 forward. As a community leader, he was easily one of the most visionary local officials in the state of North Carolina and Mecklenburg County. His terms as Mayor of Davidson fundamentally improved the progressive image of the town of Davidson--to which he was totally dedicated--and its development in size and substance. The Town is deeply, and widely, indebted to him.
I will miss knowing that Randy's public conscience is alert to what is going on.
