    Ronald "Butch" Brewer

    December 18, 1943 - February 2, 2022

Ronald "Butch" Jackson Brewer, 78, of Charlotte died February 2, 2022. He was born in Charlotte on December 18, 1943. Butch was the owner and operator of R. J. Brewer Grading Company, Kelly Road Landfill and Metromont Natural Recycling. When not on a backhoe or loader, he could be found riding around in “Henry” checking jobs, looking at new jobs or checking in on everybody in this part of Mecklenburg County. Most importantly, Butch deeply loved his family and always talked to anyone who would listen about how much he loved them and how proud he was of them. Anyone who knew Butch can attest to his stubbornness, his determination, his service to others, his sense of humor, and his big personality. He was a true visionary who left no design detail to chance. He loved planting his tomato and pepper plants each spring and his seasonal flowers around his pool that he was always working on. He loved the outdoors and found joy in just sitting around the yard simply reflecting on how blessed he was. He thoroughly enjoyed cartoons, NASCAR, game shows and country music. He found joy in delivering flowers, balloons and stuffed animals to anyone he could think of. His faith in God was very private for him, and he was always thankful for everything and everyone he had been blessed with. Butch was the son of the late Glenn and Helen Brewer and is survived by his lovely wife Beverly; daughters, Shannon Todd Kline (husband, Joey) of Charlotte; Kellie Michele Brewer (fiance Wesley Shaw) of Charlotte; sister, Phyllis Mundy of Denver; and grandchildren, Jacob, Andrew and Cooper Kline as well as nieces and nephews. Flowers are welcomed and/or memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 3-5 PM Sunday, February 6 at James Funeral Home. The Celebration of Butch’s life will be at James Funeral Home at 1 PM Monday, February 7 with burial to follow at Sharon Memorial Park. James Funeral Home of Huntersville is serving the family.
