Mr. Stoney Stokes, 58, of Denver, NC, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Mr. Stokes was born in Gastonia, NC, and has lived in Denver, NC with his wife for over 35 years. He was a longtime member of Unity Presbyterian Church. Mr. Stokes retired after a career in sales for several food companies. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with all his grandchildren. Mr. Stokes is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Polly Stokes, their children, Autumn and Terry Watson, Brittney and Drew Barnett, and Houston and Sheldon Stokes, and grandchildren, Brooklyn and London Watson, Kennedy and Wyatt Barnett, and Ellis Stokes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Unity Presbyterian Church Building Fund at 8210 Unity Church Rd, Denver, NC 28037.
