    Wade Milton Harn

    July 13, 1941 - April 24, 2022

Wade Milton Harn, born July 13, 1941 in Richmond Hill, Ga., 7th son, 10th of eleven children born to Marvin Lee Harn and Virginia Wade Clark Harn peacefully passed away on April 24, 2022 in Davidson, NC. He attended Savannah High School and Georgia State University (BBA Accounting). While in high-school he managed two Dairy Queen restaurants, and was in The Air National Guard in Savannah. He worked primarily in the textile industry advancing to financial officer, and then to general management where he spent the last ten years of his career as President of Hanes Hoisery and RG Barry Corporation, manufacturers of Dearfoam Slippers and Totes. He was fortunate to be able to retire at age 50. In 1956 he met his wife, Coralyn, at Teen Town on Hunter Air Force Base while participating in their love of dancing. They married in 1960. He enjoyed sports, boating, traveling, and loved spending time with family and friends. He especially loved watching his grandchildren’s games and concerts. He was exceptionally proud of them and cherished being their mentor. He enjoyed being a charter member of The Catawbans, a senior men’s organization that serves the Lake Norman, NC area. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Coralyn Wiley Harn, three daughters, Michelle Booe, Natalie Reid (Andrew), and Glenda Snider. He leaves five grandchildren, Jessica (Kiel), Nathan, Ryan, Nicholas, and Mariah, and one great-grandson, Chase, and many nephews and nieces. Viewing and receiving of family and friends will be April 28, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM at James Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. The family will receive friends at Carter’s Funeral Home in Richmond Hill, Ga. at 10:00AM on Saturday, April 30, 2022, followed by funeral services at 11:30AM. Burial will follow at Bryan Neck Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Keller, Ga. Wade was extremely proud of his extended family and where he was from. He was born in a house across the street from where he will be buried, which is all land that was granted to the Harn family in the 1740’s. Many of his extended family still reside in the area. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The Bryan Neck Presbyterian Historical Cemetery Association, or The American Cancer Society. James Funeral Home, of Huntersville, and Carter's Funeral Home, of Richmond Hills, GA are serving the family.
