My deepest sympathy for the passing of Jan. Jan and I were very close in elementary and High School. We use to sit together in church. He was my best friend. I learned about 2 weeks ago that Jan was ill and tried calling with a number I had but it was disconnected. My sister, Sybil Hardee, got a number for me but it was the same so in spite of my best efforts I was not able to find the correct number.
Jan was a wonderful person and always had the highest regard for him. I knew his parents very well.
I know that this must be a very difficult time. I wish I had words to help this pain to pass.
‘You will lose someone you can’t live without, and your heart will be badly broken, and the bad news is that you never completely get over the loss of your beloved. But this is also the good news. They live forever in your broken heart that doesn’t seal back up. And you come through. It’s like having a broken leg that never heals perfectly—that still hurts when the weather gets cold, but you learn to dance with the limp."
With admiration in remembering Jan and my sympathy for you and your family.
I remain,
Conwell Worthington
