Just got this word that Sally died the day after my dad, Wilkes Macaulay, died. I'm so sorry. She was a delight and I loved getting to know her in recent years. We had so much fun talking about University of Richmond, where I worked and she went to school. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Sally had the unique ability to make everyone around her feel better. She was a wonderful lady who will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known her. A magnamimous lady who loved serving others.
I just found out about the Homecoming of my dear sweet friend, Mrs Sally. I have always loved her so much. She was so warm and loving. I love Dr DuBose, Will, Richard, Martha, and Jennie. Such a beautiful warm part of my life and especially my childhood. Montreat summers, falling out of the train at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia and the days spent at the Institute, and so many other precious times. She even invited me and my friend over for supper at Your Montreat house when I was at Montreat Anderson. She knitted the most beautiful sweater for my son Charley when he was born in 1982, We enjoyed it so much with our two sons and then Kay with her three. Will and Richard, I am proud of You both and how much You have both accomplished . I love You both. Hope to see You all soon. My thoughts, prayers, hugs, and kisses(like Mrs Sally's always had) are there with You. We will remain the best of friends, Sue Morgan Farrell
