Dana Tuck
Dearest Doris ~
You have left our lives, but you will never leave our hearts. I feel like there are too many things that I didn’t get to tell you. I am beyond grateful for the way you loved me, my children and all those who were lucky enough to have been touched by your care. You have been a therapist, a friend and a mother to so many.
You always had an understated way of making everyone feel like they have gifts in this world that need to be shined for all to see. You were a brilliant, bountiful and beautiful chef. You make the type of food that people yearned to be in your kitchen. (Thanks for teaching me how to make vegetables that actually taste GOOD!) You provided the company that people never wanted to leave. And when they did leave, they never left empty handed.
I hope that when I become a mother-in-law that I do half as good a job as what you did for me. That would be the ultimate success. Thank you. Thank you for everything. You will always be more than I could ever have hoped for.
Love you Always,
Dana
