Sending deepest condolences to your family. I had the pleasure of working with Calvin at Duke Power in the early 70’s and 80’s. I will always remember Calvin’s kind and humble spirit. The last time I corresponded with Calvin is when I invited him to my retirement reception in March 2016. He was unable to attend, but sent me the kindest congratulations. Calvin was a dear friend and co-worker at Duke (Power) Energy. He was kind and helpful and made coming to work enjoyable. When his first granddaughter was born I asked her name and he said, "Christy". I said, "Christy what?" ... he paused for a minute and said, "Kilowatt". What a wonderful fellow!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Hucks family. Calvin was a great co-worker at Duke Power and a wonderful friend. Even in retirement, and miles apart, we kept in touch. He would call me on my birthday in April and I would call him on his birthday in November. I last talked with him in April. May he rest in peace. He will be missed by many.

Calvin was a fine, kind, friendly, nice man--a good husband, father and grandfather, from all I knew of him. All who knew him will have good memories I'm sure.
