Alan H Evans' Obituary
Alan H Evans, age 85, of Davidson, NC passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at The Pines at Davidson. Alan was born on May 21, 1940 in England to Herbert and Emily (Fenwick) Evans. Alan was a mechanical engineer in the textile industry.
Alan was a loving son, brother, husband, uncle and friend who had many pastimes. Among them were English Premier League Soccer and his beloved Manchester United football team, swimming, oil painting, reading non-fiction, playing the piano, sailing and long brisk walks. He traveled the world many times via airplane, ships and trains. He was a great story teller regaling his family and friends about his travels. He had a tremendous memory for telling jokes and devoured the New York Times and Wall Street Journal daily. He enjoyed and was quite a good cook. Cooking great meals for himself and his dear girlfriend Roslyn Sydney.
Alan was predeceased by his parents and his wife Carys Evans to whom he was devoted and lovingly cared for until her death. Left to cherish his memory are his girlfriend Roslyn Sydney, his brothers William Evans and John Evans and his wife Glennis, his sister Joan Evans and her significant other Steven Rowan, his sister Winifred Miller and his brother in law Medwyn Acker Hughs, as well as nieces and nephews.
Services for Alan will be private and held at the convenience of his family.
