Albert Boin Burns' Obituary
Albert Boin Burns, age 73, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Albert was born on May 4, 1952 in Greenville County, SC , to Boin and Flaura (Shirley) Burns. He was married to the former Vickie Byars.
Albert was larger than life both as a person and in personality. He was loved by everyone who knew him. Saved in 1980, his Christian faith was the backbone in leading his family and his servant's heart.
Married to his wife, Vickie for 48 years, they shared a life of wonderful memories with friends at the Charlotte Moose Lodge and with their church family and friends where in past years he served as a Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church and Director of Food Ministry at Hunter Acres Baptist Church.
Some of his most enjoyed activities was living his life in the sun with golf, monopoly with his grandkids and when he was a member of a billiards league.
He was a beloved husband, daddy and pawpaw and loved his family which will remember him always.
Albert was predeceased by his parents and his siblings Becky Gannon, Linda Gillikin, Pat Messer and Mildred Debusk. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Vickie Burns, his daughters Patricia Burns and Joy Salcius and her husband Richard, his sisters Margaret Gentry and her husband Rodger and Nina Burns and his brother Jim Burns and his wife Beryl, his grandchidren Shyann Neloms, Tyler Burns, Logan Howard and Zuri Salcius.
Services for Albert will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Calvary Baptist Church, 2727 Mt Holly Huntersville Rd, Charlotte, NC 28214, beginning with a visitation at 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at Northlake Memorial Gardens in Huntersville, NC.
