Alex Poole's Obituary
Alex Poole, 31, most recently a resident of Concord, formerly of Huntersville passed away May 12, 2014. Alex was born to Chris and Jan Hunter Poole January 19, 1983.
Raised in Huntersville, Alex attended Davidson Elementary, Davidson IB Middle School, North Mecklenburg High and Nascar Technical Institute. Alex was an intelligent, articulate lover of music, home cooking, racing (as a spectator) and dogs. He was also a talented guitarist. As a child, he loved camping and outdoor adventures.
In addition to his parents, Alex is survived by his sister Katie Poole-Smith and husband Greg of San Juan, PR, brother Thomas Poole of Winston-Salem, and loyal Labrador retriever Phoenix. Additionally, he leaves behind his aunts: Pat Hunter; Mary Sherrow and husband Norm; Carol Wilburn and husband Kevin, Karen White and husband Tom, uncle T.R. Hunter and wife Alma; numerous cousins and a large extended family.
The memorial service will be held at James Funeral Home in Huntersville on Saturday May 17, 2014 at 11am with visitation immediately afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Charlotte, www.humansocietyofcharlotte.org.
