Alexander Biel's Obituary
Alexander Fredrick Biel, Jr.
February 3, 1967 – July 5, 2023
Alexander Fredrick Biel, Jr. was born in New Jersey to the late Alexander and Rose Biel on February 3, 1967. He was raised in Carteret, NJ and was a current resident of Cornelius, NC. Al was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by Jule Biel, his loving wife of 38 years. Together they had two children, Vanessa Gault of Huntersville married to Kevin Gault, and Brianna Biel of Jacksonville, NC. He was a “Diddy” to two loving grandchildren, Lexi and Aiden Gault. He is also survived by his brother, Daniel Biel, married to Colleen Biel.
Al was raised in Carteret, NJ, where he enjoyed playing football. Sometimes a troublemaker, Al always put a smile on people’s faces with his jokes and charm. He never met a stranger and always put the needs of others before himself. For several years, he assisted the local Marine Corps League detachment in their Toys for Tots campaign. He enjoyed spending time in nature, hunting and fishing. However, his favorite way to spend time was with his family.
Al passed away at home on July 5, 2023, with his loving wife by his side. There will be a memorial to honor Al on Monday, July 10 from 6-8pm at James Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 11 at St. Mark Catholic Church with burial to follow at Northlake Memorial Gardens. It will be live-streamed at http://www.stmarknc.org/
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) or American Heart Association.
