Alexander Carter's Obituary
Alexander Powell Carter, 33, of Huntersville, NC, went to rest with the Lord on March 3, 2025.
Born on February 15, 1992, at Charlotte Memorial Hospital, Alex was a proud graduate of Maryville High School in Maryville, TN, where he lettered in wrestling. He served our country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps for five years. During his service, he was part of Operation Enduring Freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan, working as a loadmaster on C-130 aircrafts.
Alex pursued his passion for fitness, graduating in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Kinesiology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He was an avid powerlifter and chess player, and he enjoyed training in Jiu-jitsu at Fight to Win in Huntersville, NC, where he achieved a blue belt.
Professionally, Alex was employed by Duke Energy/Piedmont Natural Gas. He married his beloved wife, Ashley, on February 29, 2020, and they cherished five wonderful years together.
Survivors include his spouse, Ashley Carter, His dog Walter; father, Paul Carter, Sr.; mother, Rose Carter; brother, Paul Jr.; sister, Mia; sister-in-law, Erin Carter; maternal grandmother, Joan Compton; paternal grandparents, Gary and Barbara Carter; mother-in-law, Mary Kopec; brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Courtney Siley; nieces, Ava and Harper; and nephew, Cooper.
On Sunday March 9th 2025 the Visitation will begin at 6pm at James Funeral Home in Huntersville North Carolina where the funeral will be held afterwards at 7pm. Coffee and donuts will be served, his favorite food. (from 6-7 pm prior to the service)

Alex's kind spirit and steadfast dedication to his family and country will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him. Semper Fi, always faithful.
