Alfred Davis' Obituary
Alfred Allen Davis, age 80, of Huntersville, passed away December 26, 2012. He was the son of the late Arthur Alander and Blandena U. Davis. Alfred was a veteran of theU.S. Army and retired as a captain from the Charlotte Fire Department after 35 years. He was a member of Independence Hill Baptist Church.
Alfred leaves his wife Rose Kluttz Davis of 59 years, son Michael A. Davis and wife Debra of Huntersville; daughter, Janet D. Dove and husband Robert M. Dove of Huntersville; daughter-in-law, Jean G. Davis of Kannapolis; brothers, James U. Davis, Whit Davis; and sister, Lottie D. Campbell; grandchildren, Gregory A. Davis, Sarah D. Franklin and husband Greg, Kelly E. Dove, Melissa A. Davis and Nathan P. Dove.
He was preceded in death by his son Robert (Ben) B. Davis; brothers, David Davis, Oran Davis, Earl H. Davis, Thomas A. Davis; sisters Agnes Knox and Polly Earnhardt.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday, December 29, 2012 at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr. Huntersville.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 Sunday at Independence Hill Baptist Church Worship Center with Rev. Todd Marlin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
