Anice Adams Cargo, 85, of Charlotte, died May 2, 2013 at her son's residence in Charlotte.
Anice was born on June 7, 1927 in Cleveland, NC and was the daughter of the late Raymond C. Adams and Mae Cline Adams. She was the wife of the late Stanley P. Cargo, Sr. for over 60 years. Anice was a retired high school teacher and realtor, as well as an avid mall walker and bridge player. She was a member of the Advent Lutheran Church in Charlotte and previously of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in McMurray, PA.
Anice is survived by her son, Mark Cargo and wife Karen Cargo of Charlotte, NC as well as 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren. Anice is also survived by four sisters, Christine Anderson, Janet McDaniel, Ann Arey and Peggy Wilhelm. Her son Stanley P. Cargo, Jr. of Gastonia, NC, as well as her brothers Dan Adams and Carmen Adams preceded Anice in death.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Advent Lutheran Church in Charlotte and will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service (10 AM to 11 AM). Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery.
