Ann Marie Cetin's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Ann Marie Cetin, 64, of Denver, North Carolina, and formerly of Massapequa, NY, announces her passing on November 27, 2025. She was born on December 14, 1960 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Matthew Louis Verde, Sr. and Marie Scaturro Verde.
Ann Marie devoted her life to caring for others. A graduate of Molloy College’s nursing program, she spent over 40 years working as an ICU/CCU nurse, offering compassion, strength, and guidance to patients and their families during their most difficult moments. While she took great pride in her work, her greatest joy and purpose came from her family—being a devoted mother to Marissa, Lauren, and Kevin, a loving wife to Jeff, and a caring, supportive sister to Lisa and Matthew. After retiring, Ann Marie and her beloved husband, Jeff, began a new life together in North Carolina, where she cherished the peace, warmth, and closeness of family. In recent months, she embraced the new role of becoming a Grandma to Lewis, a chapter she looked forward to with excitement and pride. Ann Marie lived for the people she loved, and she loved them with her whole heart.
Survivors include her husband Jeffrey John Cetin; son, Kevin J. Cetin of Charlotte; daughters, Marissa Cetin and husband Tim of Brighton, U.K. and Lauren Greulich and husband Tad of Milwaukie, OR; sister, Lisa Marie Verde of Smithtown, NY and grandson, Lewis Greulich. Her brother Matthew Verde, Jr. preceded her in death.
The family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a cancer research organization of your choice, honoring Ann Marie’s lifelong commitment to caring for others.
