Anne Maloney Deiner, 94, of Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully on October 13, 2021. She was born on June 16, 1927, in Erie, Pa. Anne was the last survivor of seven siblings born to James and Anna Maloney. She married Charles De Read Obituary
As a newcomer to the extended family over thirty years ago, I always saw "Aunt Ann," as the beloved matriarch whose sense of humor and way of being served to inspire those around her. She raised a remarkable family who wit and strength of character emanate.

So honored to be able to celebrate Aunt Anne's life. As the last Maloney sibling, she was a lifeline to our family history. I loved the conversations I had with her recounting stories about my Dad when they were children or my parents' early life together. The memories she recalled were priceless! She was such a source of comfort when our Mom passed. Always checking in on us "kids" and adding our latest challenges to her ever-growing prayer list. (Worked every time!) I'll miss her, especially her opinions on just about everything. Never at a loss for words, and if she was she'd quip, "What was I saying? Oh well, that's gone, it's not coming back." I'm sure she was received with much love and celebration in Heaven, and I can just imagine her telling Jesus he needs a haircut...

I had the incredible pleasure of getting to know Anne when I came to work at Shads Landing. There was not a day that went by when she could put a smile on my face with her sweet loving words. I pray for comfort for the family and I thank them for sharing Anne's light with her Shads family.
