Mrs. Anne McElroy Griffin, 83, of Huntersville, NC left her earthly home for her heavenly home on Thursday, November 4, 2021, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by her family in her home.
Anne was born on November, 6, 1937, and was a life long native of Huntersville, NC. She attended Kings College and spent her professional life supporting the family businesses, including Griffin Tire & Auto as owner and bookkeeper. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and loved her church and church family. She was a member of Circle #3, served as treasurer of the Trinity Cemetery committee for 10 years, Head of the Bereavement Committee, member of the United Methodist Women, and recently received the United Methodist Woman of the Year Award. She enjoyed cake decorating and made cakes for many family celebrations, quilting, and playing golf. Most of all though, she enjoyed being with her family and friends and loved them all dearly. She always made sure they all knew how much she loved them through her words, support in life events big and small, and bringing everyone together in their home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anne McElroy and her sister, Jane Lee.
