Annette Smith's Obituary
Annette Agnes Smith, of Cornelius, died July 17, 2012 at Huntersville Oaks. She was born in Reading Pennsylvania on March 13, 1924. Annette married Charles Francis Smith on June, 16, 1951 who preceded her in death in 1997. Annette worked as a bookkeeper and homemaker. As an adventurous and independent young woman she lived in New York City, Miami and San Francisco.
Annette is survived by daughter, Sue Ann Williams and husband Dennis of Cornelius; and step-daughters, Gayle Chambers and Sharon Ritter of Ohio.
Annette loved to play bridge and bowl before macular degeneration claimed her sight. In her 80's Annette moved from her home in Charlotte to Cornelius to be closer to her daughter. She enjoyed living in a community of her peers and playing bingo with her friends. She was known for her colorful reading glasses, sense of humor and friendly nature. She will be missed enormously by her daughter and best friend.
