Annie Burgess' Obituary
Mrs. Annie Lee Burgess, 91, of Huntersville, NC went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC.
Ann was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on May 22, 1930 to the late R. L. Hight and Annie Thompson Hight.
She was a member of Christ Community Church where she dearly loved her Sunday School classmates and her church family. She was an avid gardener.
Mrs. Burgess was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Henry Kenneth Burgess. She also had 12 siblings who preceded her in death as well.
Mrs. Burgess is survived by her daughters, Deborah Boyles (Eddie) of Denver, NC and Melessia Baker (Randy) of Kannapolis, NC, grandchildren, Tyler Boyles (Amanda) of Denver, NC and two beautiful great grandaughters, Skylar and Harper and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for the amazing care that was provided by Hospice of Lake Norman and to her very special nurse Karen and her social worker Gina Hodges.
The family will receive family and friends at the James Funeral Home of Huntersville on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. A graveside service will follow at First Baptist Church Cemetary of Huntersville on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society of Charlotte.
