Our condolences on the passing of Mr. Fisher. He was a wonderful man and such a pleasure to know. Our prayers are with the family
Rachel, Susanna and Family,
I was so sad to learn of the passing of Mr. Fisher. I had the pleasure of working with him for a number of years when he was Executive Director of the Delmarva Advisory Council. We coordinated a variety of committee meetings that impacted the economic development of the tri-state area and I learned of his great love for the Eastern Shore. I have very happy memories of the time we worked together and the many conversations we had. I remember helping him collect unique names for his "Eastern Shore Wordbook". He was such a gentleman. May you have many wonderful memories to comfort you during this time of loss.

It was a pleasure knowing Art through the many years of our association in Accomack County Schools. Whenever he visited us at Chincoteague H.S. he was always cordial, encouraging, and supportive. His books are worthy contributions to Eastern Shore history and culture. conversations with him were always interesting and pleasurable. My sympathy goes out to Rachel and to all the family.
Remembering Art when he was teaching at Broadwater. He taught my oldest son creative writing. I enjoyed our conversations in the faculty room. He was such an intelligent man. May God grant you peace and comfort at this time and always.
Very sorry to learn of Art’s passing. He was a great friend, a mentor to me and a dedicated educator. He will be missed by many. Lou Justis
