He was my Uncle Artie. My father John’s half brother. Same father, two different mothers. But that’s a whole other story altogether. There is another brother who’s not pictured there and also another brother. They are the original children of my Grandfather Michael’s first wife who died in childbirth. The second wife was named Grace and I was named after her and my brother Michael who’s deceased was named after his grandfather Michael so I’m very honored that he named us both after his father and the woman who raised him “Grace “
Sorry for your loss. Artie was my father’s brother. That’s him in front of all his brothers and sisters. Well not all of them. lol!?
Art was the very best business mentor I ever had. We traveled together on business all over Asia and Europe for many years. After Art retired, I called every year to see how he, Birgit and Lisa were doing.
One story that will always stay with me is when on a trip to Italy we searched the basement of a very old Catholic church his parents attended prior to their immigration and found the Statue of the Virgin Mary that Art's parents had donated to the church. I will always keep great memories of our friendship and the business deals we worked on together. Deepest sympathy and prayers to Birgit, Lisa and the rest of the Family. Art, you were one the best.
