Barbara Ferrell's Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Jo Hunter Ferrell, Age 90, of 21827 Advocates Court, Cornelius, passed away Tuesday May 9, 2023 at home.
She was born June 23, 1932 in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late West Porter and Neva Knox Hunter. She was a graduate of Derita High School, attended Winthrop College and a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church. She was married to her husband Glenn "Buddy" Wallace Ferrell for more than 65 years. Barbara was actively involved in her church circle, enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading and her daily crossword puzzle.
She was preceded in death by her husband Buddy Ferrell of Cornelius and sister Bettie Ball of Shallotte NC.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn W. Ferrell, Jr. of Spanish Fort, AL and Jeffrey H. Ferrell of Charlotte, brother West P. Hunter, Jr. of Mooresville, 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Ferrell III, Andrew Ferrell, West Hunter III, Jason Hunter, Andrew Cherry, and Rick Austin.
Visitation will be held at Bethel Presbyterian at 10 a.m. Saturday May 13, 2023 and funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.
