David Murphy
Dear Baa,
After all these years of wondering where you are, (50 years) I find you in cyberspace.
Ah, dear one, how I grieve for the sweet kind teenage girl, who showed a sympathetic interest in another teen with whom you shared many heart feelings and long discussions. You were such a role model to me and gave me hope and guidance in a time of my desperate need.
I am a much better person because of you, and I am just very sorry I never caught up with you to say "thank you Baa," until it was too late.
We remained friends until the mid 1960's when the turbulence of the era separated many of us with time distance and war...which dug tiny little graves for our collective affections.
Although I do not know your husband and family, they sound wonderful, and I wanted to thank them for sharing you to the extent that I could find you.
I am ever grateful for my blessings in life, and I just wanted to say that one of my most enduring and memorable blessings, was on that far away day in 1965... when I met you in front of the Algebra class...
Sometimes guardian angels pass in and out of our lives, and I dare not think of the road not taken...because you led me the other way.
Good night Baa, God bless, and Thank you....I hope you can read this in cyberspace. May you be seated with His brightest and best angels...
Dave
PS yes, I did become an author...
