Barbara Gail Vance's Obituary
Barbara Gail Vance, 68, of Charlotte died November 20, 2022. Gail was born June 23, 1954 in Mecklenburg County to the late Joseph Graham Vance and Hilda Woodall Vance. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Peggy Vance McCorkle, and partner Lynn Anderson.
She was a retired, long-time employee of Harris Teeter Supermarkets.
Survivors include her sister, Betty Vance White, niece Ashlei White, nephew Jason White, and five-great nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her very special aunt Margaret Barnette, cousins Cathy Barnette and Pat Neil, and their families.
Gail spent her final months of life being cared for in the home of Pat Neil and her son, Greg Neil.
A very special thanks to her life-long friends Robin McArn and Sherry Sigmon for all the love, visits, food, and donuts shared with Gail.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lake Norman, 705 Griffith St, Suite 203, Davidson, NC 28036, who provided invaluable support and care to Gail and the family.
A graveside service will be held at 12 PM Saturday, November 26 at Hopewell Presbyterian Church cemetery.
