Barry Pullis' Obituary
Barry Lynn Pullis, 61, of Iron Station, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, after a brief illness, with his wife by his side. He was born on April 26, 1963, in Newton, NJ, to the late Charles and Jane Pullis. Mr. Pullis was a graduate of Kittatinny Regional High School in Sussex County NJ and de Cret School of the Center of Arts in South Plainfield, NJ, where he received a degree in Commercial Arts.
Barry worked at several printing and marketing companies over the year until in 2008 he went back to his original passion of creating artwork through several different mediums. He has done beautiful work for many out there that will be loved and cherished. His other passion was music he was in several bands over the years since high school. He also wrote and composed some of his own music for his own listening pleasure. He loved his family, friends and God and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by two nieces, Brenda J. Rummel and Natasha B. Ashmore.
Mr. Pullis is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Patricia A. Pullis; his brother, Ted Pullis (Bev); his sister Lori Rummel (Steve); his in-laws, John and Hennie Boddeus; Tina Vellenga (Troy), Eileen Van Dyk (Jon), Tammy Ashmore (Nathan) and Cornelius Boddeus (Sarah); 16 nieces and nephews, David, Jesse, Skyler, Dustin (Kristia), Brad (Brianna), Kally (Brian), Tyler (Alicia), Anthony, Daniel, Emily, Thomas, Zachary, Patrick, Joshua, Brayden, Johnny and 7 great-nieces and nephews Landon, Charlotte, Everett, Cooper, Kenzie, Jayce, Tyson with an additional one on the way.
A Celebration of Barry's life will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024 at James Funeral Home. A reception will follow the service at James Funeral Home Community Room.
