Barry Vaughn Brown's Obituary
Barry Vaughn Brown, 76, of Cornelius went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2018. He was born on October 6, 1942 in Mecklenburg County to the late Richard and Blanche Brown. He served in the US Navy and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Tammy Clanton (Buck) of Iron Station, Crystal Childers (Bryan) of Mooresville and Robin White (Andy) of Denver; sister, Tracy Dick (Robert) of Lincolnton; and grandchildren, Kelsey, Sierra, Cole, Hannah, Chloe, Mya, Levi and Vaughn. His wife Kay Brown preceded him in death.
Memorials may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church, 18841 Davidson Concord Rd., Davidson, NC 28036.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 20 from 5-7 PM at James Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday at Hopewell Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. Sammy Pierce will officiate.
