Belinda Bates Henderson's Obituary
Belinda (Momma, Grams, B-Lo,) Henderson, 56, of Charlotte, died on Friday, July 2, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on October 12, 1964, in Washington DC to the late Francis Bates and her mother, Linda Bates; however, grew up in Virginia. Belinda was a medical assistant and retired TSA agent. She was one smart cookie!
Momma enjoyed reading, writing, studying her bible and listening to music. She loved the great outdoors and to sit on the porch to just talk about life. Oh, and not to mention her love for animals.
Grams loved getting Kenny G to watch TV with her, especially Lifetime and I can’t leave out Channel 9.
All in all Momma/Grams loved to have a good time. She was very strong, truthful, faithful, and a GOD fearing women. She loved her FAMILY deeply. She was an inspiration to many. B-Lo was outspoken and sarcastic. Our leading lady was a very genuine Mother/Grandmother/Sister and friend.
In addition to her mother, Belinda is survived by her daughter, Kathy Henderson, son, Scottie Henderson. Her sister, Mary Mayhew (Clay) and their son Brandon.
She left behind five grandkids, Aliyah Steward, Jacob Henderson, Isiah Steward, Kymani Dukes and John Scott Henderson III (Bubba). Also left behind was her ex-husband and lifetime friend Scott Henderson the extended Henderson family and other dear friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2:00 PM, at James Funeral Home in Huntersville. There will be a one hour visitation prior to the service at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial/donations may be made to Charlotte Rescue Mission “The Doves Nest for Women”.
