Benjamin "Ben" James' Obituary
Benjamin “Ben” Lawrence James, 35, of Huntersville went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2022. He was born on July 18, 1986 in Charlotte to Steve and Pam James. Ben graduated SouthLake Christian Academy in 2004 and then attended Western Carolina University. He worked as an electrical and general contractor. He worked with his father for many years at Trinity Electric Company and last as an electrical contractor in the solar industry.
Ben had no enemies in life. He was loved by all who knew him. He never met a stranger and gave so much joy to his family and friends. Ben was an avid Panthers fan. He enjoyed all things outdoor - especially fishing.
Ben is survived by his beloved son Walter; his parents, Steve and Pam James of Huntersville; brother, Sam James and wife Liz of Huntersville; as well as many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Graveside service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery in Cornelius. Feel free to dress casually and wear your Panthers attire. For those who wish to view, the casket will be open 30 minutes prior to the service at graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paths of Hope International, PO BOX 4242 Greensboro, NC 27404. This organization works with young people in Peru. Ben went to Peru on a mission trip his senior year in high school and had a heart for the young people there.
