Berenice Weber's Obituary
Berenice Teresa Weber, 98, of Huntersville passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Berenice was a native of Queens, NY but moved to NJ when first married, then to West Chicago, IL for her husband's job and then to Huntersville, NC to be closer to her daughter and her family.
She was a parishioner at St. Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville where she volunteered whenever she was needed. She loved being in the Red Hat Society, the Young at Heart Group, and the Ladies Birthday Group. She also loved to count the money; a skill she acquired from being in the banking industry earlier in life.
Berenice also enjoyed cooking, gardening, sailing, dancing, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her sisters Genevieve, and Imelda, and her brothers Gerard and Raymond.
Mrs. Weber is survived by her daughters; Lorraine Mrzlak (Paul) of Oak Island, NC and Audrey Weber (Rich Welby) of Parker, Arizona, grandchildren; Brendon, Garrett (Katherine), Taylor, Austin, Troy and many loving nieces and nephews.
Traditional attire (black or formal) is not required as the family wishes for guests to be comfortable at Berenice's services.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Tuesday, September 17, from 5:00-7:00 PM at James Funeral Home in Huntersville. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 10:30 AM at St. Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville. The interment will follow immediately after the service at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery in Cornelius.
