Bettie Liffrig's Obituary
Bettie Jetton Liffrig, 96 of Davidson died January 2, 2015 at The Pines. She was born on February 15, 1918 in Mecklenburg County to Francis and Bettie Jetton. She was a Lake Norman Power Squadron member, a member of the Carolina Airstream Club and Bethel Knitting Club. Bettie was a lifelong member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Cornelius, NC.
Survivors include her daughters, Catherine Blevins (Patrick), Theresa Gillespie (Larry), Barbara Williamson (Jim) and Ruth Oliver (Ken), all of Cornelius; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Her husband Cyril Steven preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the The Pines Resident’s Assistance Fund, 400 Avinger Ln, Davidson, NC 28036. The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff at The Pines of Davidson for their love and care.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 PM at The Pines (Living Room) on Sunday, January 4. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Bethel Presbyterian Church at 1:00 Monday, January 5. Visitation will follow the service. Interment will be private at the Davidson College Cemetery.
