Betty Godwin's Obituary
Betty Jean Little Godwin, 82 of Charlotte died September 19, 2020 at the Harris Hospice Unit after a very long and hard fought battle with cancer and other health problems. She was born on March 3, 1938 in Anson County to the late William and Maggie Little.
Betty was a loving mother and grandmother and spent her life putting everyone else before herself. She was a woman of unshakable faith and always wanted her life to be pleasing to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Godwin.
Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Bowen of Charlotte; sons, Wayne of Denver, Ricky and his wife Trina of Concord, David of Swansboro and Daniel and his wife Alice of Charlotte; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hunter Acres Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, September 25 at Hunter Acres Baptist Church with burial following at the Peachland Cemetery. Visitation will be 10-11 prior at the church.
Special thanks to the caregivers who attended to her needs during her stay in the hospital and the Harris Hospice Unit. We would also like to say a special thanks to our pastor's wife, Gail Newell for endless hours spent by her side. Your care and kindness will never be forgotten.
