We were in Canada. Betty wanted to try skiing again, one last time. She had all new equipment from the ski shop. She looked beautiful, as always. Her hair was in two cute pony tails. We rode up a little lift together. As soon as we got off the lift, she started down the hill and was unable to control her skis due to her weak hips and legs. She did a Lindsay Vonn right into the orange fence and got all tangles up! I went down and proceeded to untangle her. We laughed so hard! I got her to the bottom of the hill and she said her skiing days were over. If they indeed were, I was privileged to make that last run with her. Betty was the membership chair of the Charlotte Ski and Snowboard Club when I joined in 2012. Eventually, I served my time as membership chair. I was honored to follow her footsteps and ski in her tracks. The last time I was with Betty, we were in her unit at Myrtle Beach with Crescent Ski Council. I will always cherish Betty's hospitality.

Betty was a friend for many years. We met at events for Charlotte Ski Bees back in the 80s. She loved to ski, went with the Club on many trips, made lots of friends in the Club throughout the years, and worked at Alpine Ski Center in Charlotte and was a past President of Ski Bees. She was an excellent cook and loved gardening and the beach. She was active also in Crescent Ski Council. She will be missed by so many! Pat Harvey & Brian White

in honor of Betty.

My dear friend, my heart longs for you to be here so we can talk and share our memories. I don't recall how Betty and I met but she was one who if she wanted to know you, she did. We go back to 1993 with fun times at Dan, VA winery, Charlotte Shag Club, SOS Weekends, Charlotte Ski Club, Concerts on the Green in Davidson and so many other events in and around Charlotte. No matter what event you brought so much food to serve everyone. I remember the MS Bike Ride that you volunteered to set-up and the many catering events we shared together. Our many trips to Round Tree Nursery was a Saturday regular because we both loved flowers. I grieve because you are no longer here to talk to and share common interest with but I am grateful for the time we shared. 30 years is full of wonderful memories. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Dave, Jerry and family. Memories will live on.
