Betty King's Obituary
On February 8, 2020, Betty Lee King; dearest mother, beloved Granny and “Great Gamma” went to be with the LORD at age 92 in Huntersville, NC. Betty was born October 1, 1927 in Alhambra, California. When she married husband, Tom T. King, she became an Air Force wife. Betty loved the LORD, her family and traveling the world with Tom. She was actively involved in church and in Christian Women’s club wherever they lived. She was full of life, creative, and known for being a wonderful hostess of the best parties, especially tea parties and holiday events. She moved to Charlotte, NC in 2006 after Tom’s passing to be near her daughter’s family and granddaughters. Her incredible thoughtfulness, generosity, and deep love will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom T. King and her son, Frederick T. King. She is survived by her brother, Harry Bryant and wife, Marie and family, her niece, Lynnette Muhr Perry and family, her son, James L. King and family, her daughter, Patti (King) Eagleburger, son-in-law, Mark Eagleburger, Granddaughters: Dana King Morgoch and husband, Brad, Kristin King Mabe and husband, Rob, Tamara Moreland, Amy Eagleburger and Kelsey Eagleburger. Great grandchildren: Zoe Moreland, Bradan and Kingsley Morgoch and Isabella and Liliana Mabe. A visitation and graveside service will be held in Riverside, CA. The visitation will be on Thursday, February 27, from 11am - 12pm at Arlington Mortuary. The graveside service will immediately follow at 1pm at Riverside National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Fund the Senior Fun, Inc. PO Box 2425, Huntersville, NC 28078. This charity supports Gracious Living Adult Day and Health Care center with activity scholarships and crafting materials. Gracious Living was a such blessing and support to Betty, her daughter, Patti and family.
